South Australian Steven Lines has signed on as a contracted driver for the 2015-16 season of ENZED World Series Sprintcars Championship.
Lines will be joining an elite field of contracted drivers for this season’s World Series. Backed by the Brian Hall-owned Halls Motorsport team, Lines is excited about making a big impact throughout this season’s World Series campaign.
“I like World Series as a championship, because we get to race all over Australia with the best teams and drivers,” commented the 31-year-old Mount Gambier-based racer.
“To become even better this World Series, we need to challenge ourselves night in, night out.”
As a World Series Champion (2013-14 season), Lines certainly has his eyes set firmly on another World Series Title.
“We’re definitely aiming high going into this season’s World Series, we are there to try to win it,” the WA # 3 Penske Truck Rental supported KCP supported driver explained.
“But to do that we need to be consistent every night and put in the hard yards behind the scene to make sure we are there every night towards the front.”
Speedway Australia operations manager, Shane Collins, stated that the return of Lines is an exciting one.
“Steven (Lines) rounds out our list of World Series contracted drivers, and we couldn’t be happier with the roster,” said Collins.
“With the added firepower of Lines and the Halls Motorsport team at each round of World Series, no serious Sprintcar fan can afford to miss any of the World Series action.”
Apart from Lines, the other eight World Series contracted drivers for this coming season includes defending and nine-time World Series champion Brooke Tatnell (NSW), American Kyle Hirst, current and two-time Australian Champion David Murcott (Vic), two-time World Series Champion James McFadden (Vic), Luke Dillon (SA), four-time Australian 360 Sprintcar Champion Ryan Jones (SA), Daniel Harding (WA) and Jason Pryde (WA).
This season’s WSS Championship begins at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway on the Saturday night of December 12.
